This capsule hotel was exactly what I wanted to experience during my visit to Japan, and I highly recommend it. While they don't provide breakfast, the facilities and service here are top-notch. I suggest opting for the capsule rooms – even if you choose a single room, there's just a minimal barrier, so why not spend a little extra to fully immerse yourself in the experience?
Each person gets a private locker, and the bathroom facilities are exceptionally clean, with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. Additionally, there are moisturizers and lotions available. I noticed a lot of travelers from Asian countries here, probably because of the fantastic value for money. I'll definitely be staying here again!
Really nice place to stay. The women’s floor had beautiful flower decorations and the whole place was very clean. The sleeping area was quiet at all times - I think this was helped by the locker area being separate (no one going through bags when you’re trying to sleep), and there seemed to be more solo / respectful travellers that you would typically get at a hostel (at least while I was there).
You can leave your luggage in advance and they have 24h reception. Staff spoke English and were helpful. They even allow you to access the dining area if you are early for your check in.
The place was a little hard to find - have to follow the walking paths between the buildings (they are marked as green on Google maps).
They provide towels, face cloths and night clothes (or something like that). There is some charge for additional items. They also provide slippers (shoes off!) and all standard hotel amenities.
A few things to note so you aren’t surprised:
* Bathing is communal - traditional Japanese style bath where everyone is nude together. Just like any onsen. There is a single private shower for the floor if that is a problem, but you may have to wait some time.
* They clean 10am - 5pm so I don’t think you can access your room / locker - plan accordingly
* If you are on the top floor it can be a little big of effort to climb up - probably fine for most, but I can imagine some people may struggle
* You have to lock your shoes in a locker at reception, then give the key to the reception staff in exchange for your luggage locker key when you are in the accommodation, then exchange back for the shoe locker key when you leave. Is a bit of a confusing system but works fine since reception is open 24/7
Would definitely stay here again. Would give 5 stars but the limited access is a bit annoying.
Very practical and comfy. The lockers are really big and the facilities are modern.
stayed overnight, it's a comfortable stay. bigger than other capsule hotels and SO many amenities. the area outside the hotel is gorgeous, serene park where local families and kids play and hang out after school.
pros: lounge area with vending machines (food, alcohol, drinks), manga comics, foot massager (¥100 for 10 minutes), microwave, and hot water. capsules have tv (with earphones). rentable portable chargers. coin laundry. onsen is a cool experience as well! nice staff who are helpful.
cons: only one shower outside the onsen (luckily i didn't have to wait!), only one changing room, only one elevator for both men and women to share, not the most central location (10min walk from namba area), cannot be in the hotel from 10am-5pm as they are cleaning
Great facility, quiet at night and nice Japanese style bath. Also really close walkable distance to Dotonbori.
Fair Price, Clean but you can probably hear little noise from other room, but I love it.
Perfect experience! Check in at 5pm, but super easy to store luggage before. They even insisted me to take an umbrella which saved my day walking around. Good bath good bed. Took the bus to airport from nearby station next day. Perfect for solo traveller who just needs a place to sleep.
First time we tried to sleep in a capsule, it had enough space to sleep and was semi comfortable. The hotel hot bath was very fun to use.
One thing we didn’t know when we booked our rooms was that you can’t use your …
